10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania Praises State Officials For Modernizing Earned Income Tax Collection

July 2, 2008

Harrisburg, PA - With today's public signing of Senate Bill 1063 into law, earned income tax collection has become more efficient, more responsive to business in Pennsylvania, and more effective for all tax-payers, according to 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania President and CEO Judy Schwank.

"We want to commend Governor Ed Rendell, Senator Jane Earll, Representative David Levdansky and Dept. of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Yablonsky for their leadership. They brought together local government officials, business leaders and non-profit advocates, to craft systemic reform, and the fruits of that labor will be long-lasting," she said."
