2011 Commonwealth Awards

2011 CA brick

The 2011 Commonwealth Awards were held September 20, 2011 at the Hilton Harrisburg, in Harrisburg, PA.  A crowd of developers, planners, legislators, local government officials and others involved and interested in responsible and efficient land use practices attended.  From an excellent field of 44 submissions, our jury had a very difficult time selecting our award winners, finally having to expand the awards into specific categories.  Even in these challenging times, it is greatly rewarding to still see so many examples of sustainable growth in Pennsylvania that people enthusiastically support.

NEW!  Press releases are available for the winners in the various regions of Pennsylvania.  Please click on the documents at the bottom of this article.

In the coming days, we will have more thorough coverage on the awards and the winners.  For now, please join us in celebrating our winners below.  If you have any questions or comments, please contact Jack Machek or Andrea McCormick at 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, 717-234-6070.
