Bakery Square is a mixed use development of the former Nabisco Bakery plant located on approximately 6.5 acres in the City of Pittsburgh. This facility was classified as a “brownfield” site by the PA DEP. The rehabilitation of this site saved the 400,000 square foot local landmark.
It is in the center of the very dense urban neighborhood of Larimer, adjacent to East Liberty and Shadyside. Bakery Square has 250,000 square feet of office space, 185,000 square feet of retail space, an 850 car parking garage, 100 surface parking spaces and a 110 Marriott Springhill Suite hotel.
Bakery Square offices are home to Google, Inc., The University of Pittsburgh Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, Human Engineering Research Laboratory of the Veterans Administration, and the UPMC Technology Development Center.
Retail tenants include Urban Active Fitness, Anthropologie, Free People, Learning Express, Coffee Tree Roasters, Verizon, Jimmy Johns and others.
