Plan Regionally, Implement Locally - A Series of Roundtable Discussions on Multi-municipal Planning In Pennsylvania

In 2000, with the passage of Acts 67 adn 68, Pennsylvania enabled neighboring municipalities to partner to prepare and implement multi-municipal plans.  After, nine years, we are now in a position to assess Pennsylavnia's unique approach to regional comprehensive planning.  These three-hour roundtables will bring together planners and official who have participated in multi-municipal planning projects to share lessons learned and develop recommendations on how to develop stronger multi-municipal plans and ensure that they are implemented.  The roundtables will be presented by 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, which has recently completed an evaluation of multi-municipal planning.  The report, entitled "Plan Regionlly, Implement Locally," will serve as a springboard for roundtable discussions.  Participants will be encouranged to react to, debate, and add to the report's conclusions and recommendations.  Highlights of the roundtables will be summarized and posted on the 10,000 Friends' website.
