Ludlow Scattered Sites HOPE IV

Philadelphia Housing Authority
Housing and Community Institution Projects
The Ludlow Scattered Sites HOPE VI project consists of 192 housing units dispersed throughout a deteriorating neighborhood. By strategically investing in these homes, the Philadelphia Housing Authority has helped to stabilize the neighborhood as a whole. With its prime location along two bus lines and a mixture of residential, commercial, and recreational uses, this neighborhood has many desirable elements for the urban dweller. By incorporating LEED design standards, the Authority has shown a commitment to building energy efficient housing. This will have the dual benefit of making the ongoing maintenance of these houses more affordable for their low-income occupants and improving the overall energy efficiency of the community.
