Mantua Square is an impressive affordable housing project that integrates good design with environmental attributes. As the first phase of a larger project, Mantua Square serves as a catalyst for future investment by remaking a neighborhood through improved pedestrian connections, incorporation of green space and storm water reduction techniques through good urban design. The project focuses on people not automobiles. A recipient of funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), Mantua demonstrates how public resources can be used to rebuild communities.
