"Over a decade ago, midstate leaders had a vision of a commuter rail line running between Carlisle, Harrisburg and Lancaster.
Dubbed "Corridor One," it would link the various centers of commerce in the midstate and ease congestion on roads.
In the late 1990s, there were feasibility and engineering studies. The project seemed to be on track (pun intended).
