Pottstown stakeholders look to hammer out a common vision, Pottstown Mercury

"It was much easier for the borough to find the $500 council unanimously voted to spend to have Pottstown join the First Suburbs organization.

"First Suburbs" is a phrase coined by the Washington, D.C.-based Brookings Institution and describes the first "ring" of towns that sprouted up around major cities and are now facing some of the problems of crime, a dwindling tax base and "white flight" that many cities themselves have faced."  For the complete article, please click here.
