Rendell pushes for more shared services, York Daily Record

With governments at all levels in a fiscal slump, Gov. Ed Rendell is trying to jump-start debate over sharing more services at the local level.

In his annual budget address last week, Rendell touted recommendations from the State Planning Board that would ease the process for merging police and other municipal services. He called it a common sense way for governments to save money.  For the complete article, please click here.
