February 25, 2011

Upper Merion, PA - Today, Andrew Heath, Executive Director of the Renew Growing Greener Coalition, offered testimony on the urgent need to renew Growing Greener at the House Democratic Policy Committee hearing on Representative Vitali's legislation, House Bill 33, which would tax Marcellus Shale natural gas drilling.

"Growing Greener is not a luxury," stated Heath, "it is a core function of the state to provide investments for farmland preservation projects, open space protection, abandoned mine reclamation, watershed protection and restoration, water and sewer infrastructure and the improvement and conservation of state and community parks and recreational facilities."
