The Turbo Lofts at The Village at West Main

Moulton Builders
Housing and Community Institution Projects
The Turbo Lofts project is a great example of a mixed-use development on a brownfield site. While loft developments have been popular for years in many cities, this project breaks new ground by bringing the loft model to the suburbs. What was once an old hosiery factory has now been tastefully transformed into a mix of residential units and retail and office space. The project has a residential density of nine units per acre, while the Lansdale borough as a whole has a density of 3.5. It qualifies for the green building gold standard from the National Association of Home Builders through the use efficiency features such as geothermal heat. By preserving the industrial look of the building in the new design, the project serves as a reminder of the history of the borough of Lansdale.
